Amara believes in adding cane to the flow of your dance as an extension of your body movements, not just do tricks.

Commonly known as Raks Al Asaya, Amara is know as the Malemah (Maven) of Egyptian Cane Dance. Highly recognized around the world as an authority of Egyptian Dance Styles. Amara researches authentic movements and has choreographed and documented more than a hundred different cane dances during her career. See Amara's Video Collection.

Amara will teach a choreography that incorporates classic and musical cane dance moves reflective of Saidi and Beledi style cane dance.  You will learn a great assortment of folk steps, cane twirls and accents. Very useful for creating your own dances, enhancing your current vocabulary, troupe dances and a great solo as is.
